James Richards (b. 1983)

 

Born in Cardiff, Wales, 1983, James Richards graduated from Chelsea School of Art and Design, London, in 2006.
Re-editing material drawn from a broad range of online and television images, Richards creates complex audio-visual mixtapes and film installations. In 2012 he won the Jarman Award, London. Solo exhibitions include CCA Kitakyushu, Japan; Chisenhale Gallery, London; Tate Britain; Tramway, Glasgow and ICA, London.
Participating in the DAAD Artist-in-Residence Programme, James Richards lives and workes in Berlin since 2013.
